How has the world you come from shaped your dreams and aspirations? I come from a divorced loving and supportive family that taught me to be strong, independent and work hard to achieve my dreams. During my childhood, I went back and forth between my parents houses so I learned to take care of my needs and turned my attention to the greater good. My family taught me important values and guided me on the right path to mold my independence and motivation making me who I am today. Of all the ways you could succeed in your life, why have you chosen to succeed in the Miss Auburn Pageant? This great organization provides the opportunity for financial assistance (scholarships) for young women in order to achieve their educational objectives and provides a setting to bring attention to important issues that are close to their hearts. If I were to become Miss America, I would ensure that my positive voice was heard and be a strong leader for my personal platform and global issues. It is my goal to raise awareness of key social issues that have been important to me since there are many areas for advancement.

What social issue, other than your platform, will have the greatest impact on your generation and why? A major issue in schools right now is bullying. This has a social impact on my generation because it tears down self-esteem and promotes violence leading to risk of injury. This is a safety issue that isn’t taken seriously until it is too late. Often times, bullying goes on without being noticed but that doesn’t mean it does not exist. Being the change or just the person who stands up for what’s right can make all the difference in today’s communities.
