How has the world you come from shaped your dreams and aspirations? My family is the main component to my success. They have always been there for me, pushing me to move forward, to challenge myself, and to accomplish any endeavor. The support and encouragement that I have grown up with has helped me to branch out and have the drive to achieve my dreams. This has allowed me to try different activities and helped me to study what interests me. My family and where I have come from will forever stay with me and inspire me to be the best I can be.

Of all the ways you could succeed in your life, why have you chosen to succeed in the Miss Auburn Pageant? It amazes and honors me to be a part of the world’s largest provider of scholarships for young women. I chose to be a part of the Miss Auburn program my senior year of high school to branch out and gain experience in a highly respected program. One of the most noticeable aspects I gained from the program was self-confidence. This year I decided to again participate again because of the wonderful opportunities it has given me. I have been given the opportunity through this program to help pay for my college education, serve my community, and gain experience that will me to become a professional and poised young woman.

What social issue, other than your platform, will have the greatest impact on your generation and why? One of the most important social issues of our time is the responsible use of cyber space. Nothing on the internet goes away. Nothing is hidden. The impact of cyber space bullying, peer pressure and reputation damaging postings live on forever. Our generation needs to stop rolling its eyes with indifference and consider the seriousness and potential harm we can cause not only ourselves but also to others while using this medium of communication. It is vital to the health of my generation to put an end to the irresponsible use of cyber space.
