2011-2012 Miss Auburn’s Outstanding Teen Little Princess Program

The Little Princess (LP) program is an excellent opportunity for young girls to gain self-confidence, meet new friends, and be involved with the future leaders of tomorrow. We hope you and your daughter gain exciting life-long memories. To provide all of the girls with a positive experience, the following requirements will be expected:

  1. All princesses should be in grades Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Dance or Stage performance experience is preferred but not required.
  2. Princesses will participate in several events prior to the Program with the Contestants, such as parades, they have dance numbers to learn for the pageant, and participate in a crowning ceremony during the Program.
  3. Princesses must attend every scheduled rehearsal. Any absences must be pre-arranged and approved by the Little Princesses Chairperson. If absences occur without prior approval, the princess can be removed from the dance number. It takes everyone’s 100% commitment to have a successful dance number. A rehearsal calendar will be given to parents for review.
  4. There are no entry fees required but we do ask that every princess and their families sell a minimum of 25 candy bars to off-set expenses for costuming, flowers and tiaras that each little princess will receive. All fees are used for expenses for the Little Princess Program and are not a part of fundraising for the MAOT Scholarship program.
  5. All princesses will be performing in a dance number on pageant nights, plus appear in the Veterans Day & Santa Parade dressing festive, warm and comfortable for walking. The Princess Pageant attire will consist of a pink formal or party dress for the crowning ceremony. Tea or floor lengths are good choices. Princesses will be asked to wear the appropriate stage make-up on program night, and to have hair styled appropriately for the production.
  6. On dress rehearsal night, Princesses will have an opportunity to make a card for a contestant and give it to her. It’s a great way to for them to show their support and its okay if you would like to bring an additional gift for a special friend.
  7. Princesses will attend a “welcome” to the program Princess Tea and also will be invited to our Teen luncheon.
  8. Most importantly, have fun! The Scholarship program should be an enjoyable and magical time.
